THE PAPER ELECTROPHORESIS OF THE IRON (II)-IRON (III) SYSTEM,

Abstract

The iron(II) - iron(III) equilibrium mixture in a sulfuric acid solution of pH 2.6 is separable by paper electrophoresis. An attempt was made to determine whether the electrophoretic system affected this equilibrium. Maximum differences of about 10% from the iron(II) - iron(III) true equilibrium ratio were observed after the separation by paper electrophoresis. (Author)
