PROBLEM OF DIFFRACTION ON A LATTICE FROM ARBITRARY PROFILES,

Abstract

An examination was made of the use of integral equations to the problem of diffraction of flat waves on a lattice, formed by arbitrary profiles. Particular attention was given to a long wave approximation of the problem based on known Raleigh ideas (1). In this case, in contrast from the ordinary investigation, the use of integral equations allows strict use of the method of subsequent approximations and offers a principal possibility of evaluation of the errors.
