ANTIFERROMAGNETICALLY COUPLED SPIN IMPURITIES IN FERROMAGNETS.

Abstract

A rigorous theory is given of the ground state of an antiferromagnetically-coupled spin impurity (s = 1/2) in a ferromagnetic host (of arbitrary S). This is compared with the results of spin wave theory, providing some insight into the corresponding calculation for a pure antiferromagnet. (Author)
