COMPARATIVE TECTONICS OF THE BASE OF THE OLD PLATFORMS AND THE HISTORY OF THEIR FORMATION.

Abstract

The frameworks of all the continents are the following ten old platforms: Eastern-European, Siberian, Chinese-Korean, South-Chinese, North-American, South American (Brazilian), African, Indian, Australian and Antarctic. The latter five platforms according to recent concepts are fragments of the single southern platform or of the 'old' continent Gondwana.
