HIGHLY SIMPLIFIED CALCULATION OF THE INCOMPRESSIBLE LAMINAR BOUNDARY LAYER.

Abstract

A highly simplified calculation of the incompressible laminar boundary layer under any variable pressure gradient, is outlined and satisfactorily applied to accelerated and retarded flows. The method allows to derive directly the shear stress at the wall from the outer velocity law. The method is very promising in the field of the aeronautical slender bodies.
