STUDY OF THE DYNAMIC YIELD POINT OF METALS AT SHOCK VELOCITIES TO 1000 M/SEC,

Abstract

Conclusions: (1) The values of the dynamic yield points for St. 3 and Al determined by the residual strain, moving-picture and strain-gauge methods, all agree. (2) The dynamic yield point for St.3 and Al rises as the impact velocity increases to 250 m/sec, and later remains constant up to 1000 m/sec. (Author)
