NORMAL COORDINATE ANALYSES OF HYDROGEN-BONDED COMPOUNDS.

Abstract

A summary is given of a research program in which the vibrational spectra of relatively simple hydrogen-bonded compounds were investigated by using the method of normal coordinate analysis. Monomeric and dimeric formic acid and acetic acid, the acid maleate ion, the acid carbonate ion, and the enol-forms of acetylacetone and hexafluoroacetylacetone were among the subjects studied.
