FORMULATION OF THE COMPLETE EQUATIONS OF BOUNDARY LAYER STABILITY WITH MASS TRANSFER

Abstract

The stability theory of laminar boundary layers in response to infinitesimal disturbances was re-examined for the case of a binary mixture with foreign gas injection. Because of the inherent limitations of the asymptotic stability calculation procedures, an approach was taken which utilizes the complete equation system. Such an approach is described and the resulting system of equations is presented in a manner suitable for numerical evaluation.
