YIELD-POINT LOAD OF A CIRCULAR PLATE SEALING BY INCOMPRESSIBLE FLUID,

Abstract

The yield point load is obtained for a simply supported circular plate which seals a cavity filled with an incompressible liquid and is loaded over a central region. The interaction between a load over a central region acting in one direction and an independent uniform pressure acting in the opposite direction on the plate is also studied. The results obtained are compared with solutions from elastic analysis. (Author)
