AERODYNAMIC AND HEAT EXCHANGE STUDIES IN AN ANNULAR CHANNEL WITH AN INNER ROTATING CYLINDER,

Abstract

Detailed experimental data are given on the velocity and temperature distributions, friction and heat transfer in an annular channel with an inner rotating cylinder. New formulas are given which describe the velocity distribution and the friction coefficient. A scheme of calculating the heat transfer is described which is based upon an application of the hydrodynamic theory of heat exchange. The theoretical results are compared with experimental ones.
