OFFSET MARKER BEACON ANTENNA FOR INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT.

Abstract

An antenna array adjustable in height and azimuth aperture was tested for use in an offset marker beacon installation. Insufficient horizontal light-on pattern duration, at some offset distances, is caused by lack of power available at the antennas. The technique, however, of using offset marker antenna installations is feasible. (Author)
