THE EFFECT OF INTER-GROUP COMPETITION ON GROUP MEMBER ADJUSTMENT,

Abstract

The paper briefly reviews research showing that competition among small face-to-face groups may also contribute to the individual group member's adjustment and morale. While many of the studies were conducted with military units, the findings should apply equally well to industrial work groups. (Author)
