SELF-REPAIR THEORY INVESTIGATION.
Abstract
A study was made to develop a theory of self-repair in digital nets via fault diagnosis and automatic circuit replacement. Several theorems are developed concerning which experiments need to be performed on a given net in order to check its proper operation. The study shows how the Sequential Prime Implicant Form for representing a sequential net can be factored into a minimal covering set of projections, each of which represents a partial description of the net behavior.
