AUDITORY FUNCTION OF THE HEARING IMPAIRED.

Abstract

The specific goals of the project are: (1) the development of test procedures for assessing the effects of hearing impairment on receptive communicative efficiency in difficult listening environments; (2) the development of valid methods for detecting the individual whose hearing has deteriorated to the point where he has become a hazard to himself and others because of reduced communicative capacity.
