CONVECTIVE HEAT LOSSES FROM A GYROSCOPE WHEEL.

Abstract

An expression for heat transfer from the surface of a spinning cylinder is derived using Colburn's Analogy and is equivalently derived by Martinelli's method. The results of a special wheel test are in good agreement with the derivations. Considerations for the wheel sides are discussed. (Author)
