PHTHALOCYANINATO(2-)CHROMIUM(III) PHOSPHINATES.

Abstract

Chromium phthalocyanine (CrPc) was obtained from the reaction of phthalonitrile with Cr(CO)6. CrPc, which converts to CrPcOH upon exposure to air, proved to be a very useful intermediate for the preparation of Chromium (III) phthalocyanine phosphinates. Attempts to find evidence of polymeric forms V by chemical means were unsuccessful of the phosphinates.
