HIGH FREQUENCY HEARING FOLLOWING MENINGITIS.

Abstract

The high frequency hearing of 26 military persons, diagnosed as having had meningitis was examined and compared to the high frequency hearing of a control population of the same age. Those persons who had been categorized as seriously ill differed significantly from those who had the disease but had not been seriously ill. Implications of these findings for industry and for diagnosis were discussed. (Author)
