EVALUATION OF ASSAY METHODS FOR AMMONIUM PERCHLORATE,

Abstract

A round robin was conducted for the purpose of evaluating three assay methods for ammonium perchlorate, an important component for many solid rocket propellants. Eleven government and commercial laboratories submitted quadruplicate analyses for two different samples. These results were subjected to statistical analysis-of-variance to estimate the significance of interlaboratory variation. It was found that the laboratories were unable to obtain agreement regardless of the methods used. (Author)
