BULKHEAD STABILIZATION SURVEY, STUDY AND REPORT AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.
Abstract
This report makes use of data obtained from field surveys of bulkhead failure areas and develops practical and economical methods to repair and stabilize existing bulkhead structures. The following types of bulkheads were investigated: steel sheet pile with tie rod anchorage; cellular steel sheet pile with sand and gravel fill; cellular steel pile with hydraulic fill; timber with tie-rod anchorage; reinforced concrete sheet pile. Also includes recommendations for standard criteria for design of future bulkheads.
