COMMENTS ON MOLECULAR MOTION IN INFRARED AND RAMAN SPECTRA,

Abstract

Interferograms, the information which is directly obtained from two-beam interferometers and is related to the Fourier cosine transform of the spectrum, are interpreted in terms of molecular motions as described by Gordon. Portions of the pure rotational interferogram of carbon monoxide are shown and discussed. (Author)
