SOUTH AMERICAN SAVANNAS COMPARATIVE STUDIES LIANOS AND GUYANA.

Abstract

This is the first in a series of comparative studies of savannas of South America. The major objective is to provide basic quantitative information on the composition and structure of the vegatation of the savanna ecosystem. This dats is presented in a preliminary form as there is considerable demand for such data by botanists, ecologists, palynologists and geographers currently active in the field.
