A SEMI-OBJECTIVE METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE OCCURRENCE OF RADIATION-ADVECTION FOG AT OLMSTED AFB, PA,

Abstract

Favorable results were obtained in predicting the occurrence of radiation-advection fog which reduces the visibility to less than 3-miles the following morning. The parameters investigated were the gradient wind direction and the dewpoint depression during certain periods in the afternoon and evening. (Author)
