Modification of Nearshore Currents by Coastal Structures

Abstract

This paper describes and presents the results of water current studies conducted along the shores of Lakes Superior, Michigan, and Erie. The studies have been made at various harbor locations with the purpose of establishing current magnitudes and patterns within the harbors and in the adjacent coastal areas, and relating the measured currents with the causative forces.
