EXPOSURE PREDICTIONS FOR GEODETIC SATELLITE PHOTOGRAPHY BY STELLAR PHOTOMETRY,

Abstract

A stellar telephotometer was designed for on-site use at stations photographing satellites with Xenon beacons. Through photometric measurement of known star in the photographic field, predictions may be made of beacon exposure through the existing atmosphere. The report presents the radiometric basis for the measurements and techniques used to correlate photometric readings with plate exposures. (Author)
