USER SURVEY OF NAVY TECHNICAL REPORTS,

Abstract

A survey of 129 scientists and engineers in 4 Navy R and D activities was conducted to determine what use these research personnel make of libraries, journal articles or other sources of technical information. The findings show that most of the research men make little use of libraries, preferring to obtain information through references or citations which appear in technical reports.
