CONTROLLABLE DEFORMATIONS OF INCOMPRESSIBLE SIMPLE MATERIALS.

Abstract

At present, five families of inhomogeneous deformations are known to be controllable for homogeneous, isotropic, incompressible elastic materials, i.e., to be possible deformations in any such material in the absence of body forces. It is shown that these five families of deformations are controllable also for homogeneous, isotropic, incompressible simple materials. (Author)
