PUBLIC RESPONSE TO THE NORTHEASTERN POWER BLACKOUT.

Abstract

A survey was conducted of 1,313 residents of northeastern United States to determine public reaction to the massive power failure which occurred on November 9, 1965, and which engulfed that area in darkness. It was felt that the survey would increase knowledge of society's ability to cope with disaster.
