Abstract

The monograph is dedicated to questions of the action of deficiency of oxygen in inhaled air on the human organism in various stages of its growth. It describes age-connected peculiarities of changes of higher nervous activity, external breathing, blood circulation, level of saturation of arterial blood with oxygen, and consumption of oxygen in an atmosphere with a lowered partial pressure of oxygen during inhalation of mixtures poor in oxygen, during rarefaction of air in a pressure chamber, in alpine conditions.
