VARIATIONS OF COSMIC RAYS AND STUDY OF THE COSMOS,

Abstract

In the book there is systematized and analyzed great amount of experimental material, obtained during the years 1957-1962 in the periods of the International Geophysical year and the year of the International Geophysical collaboration on world ground network of stations of cosmic rays (neutrons monitors, ionization chambers, counter and scintillation telescopes), and also with the help of air-ballons, satellites and space rockets. Critically there are considered different hypotheses on connection of variations of cosmic rays and captured in cosmic magnetic traps, radiation with phenomena occuring in the cosmos. It appears that cosmic rays are a sensitive probe for research of electromagnetic conditions in the environment of earth and in corpuscular flows, in interplanetary space and in the atmosphere of the sun, in the galaxy and the metagalaxy. This book is a logical continuation of the monograph of the author 'Variation of cosmic rays,' issued in 1957 (See also TT-59-12111). (Author)
