MECHANISM OF STEAM BUBBLE FORMATION,

Abstract

Discussed are the results of a theoretical study which revealed the determining role of a phase change on the surface of the steam bubble that originated on the heating wall in the hydrodynamics of the process of steam bubble formation. The new physical model of the process, built on the basis of the results of this study, which differs essentially from those known, makes it possible to explain the basic experimental facts that characterize the process of steam bubble formation.
