AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRUCTURE OF ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOR: A VALIDATION STUDY.

Abstract

An attempt was made to predict the behavior of one hundred and sixty naive White female Ss in an interaction situation with Negro and White confederates of the experimenter from two attitude instruments, the Behavioral Differential (Triandis), 1964) and the Semantic Differential (Osgood et al., 1957). These instruments probe the conative and affective components of attitude respectively.
