PULSE COHERENT TRANSPONDER.

Abstract

The purpose of the program was the design and development of engineering models of a lightweight, medium-power C-Band Pulse Coherent Transponder for use in precision space-probe and tracking applications. The first phase of the program consisted of preliminary analytical and experimental work leading to a formal design plan; the second phase encompassed the actual design, fabrication and test of the transponders. The results achieved in the analysis, design, fabrication and testing of the transponders during the course of the program as well as a reliability prediction, performance data and special instrumentation was covered in the report.
