FABRICATION OF EXPERIMENTAL FLUX-CORED FILLER WIRES.

Abstract

Twelve different compositions of experimental flux-cored filler wire were fabricated for welding studies using high-purity iron sheath and iron powder. The wire was produced from strip using a forming mill and drawn to a final 0.091-inch diameter. This report contains a description of the materials and methods used to produce the wire. (Author)
