EQUATIONS OF MOTION FOR MOORING AND DOCKING MANEUVERS OF A DESTROYER AND A SURFACED SUBMARINE,

Abstract

Equations and methods for simulation of low speed mooring and docking maneuvers for destroyer and surfaced submarine craft. Presents experimentally obtained equations and coefficients for maneuvers, which include effects of hull inertial and hydrodynamic reactions, propeller and rudder contributions, environmental effects, tug assistance contributions and ship system-personnel time responses.
