SURGICAL PREPARATION OF THE ORAL CAVITY FOR PROSTHESIS FOLLOWING RESECTION OF THE LOWER JAW AND FILLING OF THE DEFECT WITH BONE IMPLANT,

Abstract

After resection of the lower jaw and subsequent bone plastic there, some unfavorable conditions for wearing of prostheses may arise. Surgical preparation of the oral cavity is a necessary prerequisite for a fully valid functional prostheses. Transplants of split skin grafts into the deepened oral vestibule results in a good prosthesis bed on these patients.
