THE PROBLEM OF PATHOGENETIC BASIS (SUBSTANTIATION) OF THE THERAPEUTICAL EFFECT OF ACTH AND PREDNISONE IN BOTKIN'S DISEASE,

Abstract

Keeping in mind the possibility that Botkin's disease might progress into a chronic course, the observations on the results of the therapeutic effect of hormonal substances shows that their administration is particularly indicated in severe and medium severe forms of the disease, and in prophylactic measures for chronic liver ailments.
