COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS. PART I. REVIEW OF SOVIET LITERATURE: COMPILATION OF ABSTRACTS.

Abstract

A compilation of abstracts based on Soviet open sources published in 1965 and a few sources published earlier. It is the sixth report in a series. There are two sections: I. Communications equipment (25 entries) and II. Communications facilities and their location (8 entries). These abstracts include the following information: antenna matching device, circuit diagrams of various types of equipment, communication cables, block diagrams of facsimile equipment, switching equipment, data transmission on telegraph channels, train radio communication, three-channel carrier system for open-wire lines, railroad computer center, high-speed data transmission system on telephone lines. A review of the development of Soviet facsimile equipment is included in the Appendix. There are twelve references included with the review as well as numerous tables and illustrations. A bibliography with 33 entries is presented at the end of the report. (Author)
