BIOLOGIC REACTIONS OF CELLULAR ANTIBODIES, WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THEIR IMMUNOPATHOLOGICAL AND IMMUNOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES.

Abstract

Biologic reactions of antibodies in cell were analysed in the aspects of their immunopathological and immunochemical properties. The first purpose was to establish the cell system (in culture) useful in the study of the function and formation of antibodies. The second purpose was to determine the correlation between the chemical structure and biologic reaction of antibodies in cell. The third purpose was to verify the in vivo biologic action of each type of cell antibodies, as shown by tissue fixability or increased vascular permeability. It is hoped that the observations will establish a new and fruitful way for an essential understanding of the immune response. (Author)
