Abstract
Some nickel(II) and cobalt(II) salts have been found to react readily with 1,2-bis(mercapto)-o-carborane in the presence of stabilizing phosphorous ligands or the tetraethylammonium cation to yield square planar MS2P2 and MS4(2) complexes. Electronic spectra of the nickel complexes are discussed. (Author)
