ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT FOR 1966.

Abstract

Contents: Experimental nuclear physics (Generator modifications, Resonant scattering of the oxygen-16 gamma-rays by lead, Levels in Na23, Ge(Li) detectors, Incidental projects); Theoretical nuclear physics (Transition densities and form factors for nuclear dipole excitations, Neutron-proton-hole excitations in nuclei, Radiative capture of neutrons in the mass region A = 90). Airborne survey of cosmic ray intensities (Isocosms near solar minimum, Anomalous regions, Multiple events); The attenuation length of cosmic rays in the lower atmosphere (Attenuation length of the nucleonic component, Neutron multiplicity measurements, Meson attenuation length); Particle precipitation at the geomagnetic pole.
