FACTORS INFLUENCING FIBRINOLYSIS.

Abstract

Urokinase excretion in the urine was considered as a method of detection of high fibrinolysis in the blood assuming that there is a relation between high blood level and urokinase excretion. The methods, described in the literature for the detection of urokinase activity in the urine appeared to be unreliable in our hands. We developed our own method. With this method research was done concerning the urokinase excretion under normal and pathological conditions. A rough relationship between urokinase excretion and glomerulus function as measured in the creatinin clearance was found. Animal experiments were started by making immune antibodies against urokinase of different species. (Author)
