DRAG PLATE BALANCE,
Abstract
The paper discusses the design features of a proposed drag plate for the ASO low speed wind tunnel at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The device will measure the chord force exerted on an object mounted flush atop the drag plate by the use of an external strain gage balance. The required readout system for the drag plate is given.
