Abstract

The report is intended to describe and illustrate the stowage and materials handling alterations accomplished on the USS ALTAIR (AKS-32). Also, recommendations are outlined for additional alterations to improve stowage and materials handling which should be considered for accomplishment on the ALTAIR at the next shipyard availability.
