DEVELOPMENT OF PRACTICE FOR COMPOSITE ROLLING OF STRUCTURAL METAL PANELS.

Abstract

The use of titanium-deoxidized steel for support material was found to be beneficial in the successful bending of composite-rolled structural panels of Inconel, PH14-8Mo, Ti-4Al-0.2 O2 and Ti-8Mo-8V-2Fe-3Al. High-strength skin-to-rib bonds were obtained in panels from small packs rolled in the laboratory. (Author)
