DATA SYSTEM FOR MATCHING PLANNED RESEARCH WITH MILITARY NEEDS.

Abstract

The improvement in managing DoD military sciences can be achieved through a documentation system which includes an inventory of technical problem/barriers. Such an inventory as a part of a documentation system which already contains the inventory of the on-going work and the store of technical papers/reports could provide the managers with better understanding of the problems which could be aided through research and exploratory development. The system would allow the manager to match the research proposals with the statements of needed research and thus allow for the support of 'more relevant' research projects. (Author)
