ANNUAL REPORT FOR JULY 1964-JUNE 1965.
Abstract
The National Oceanographic Data Center, in support of both data requests and exchange obligations, regular production accomplished the following: Approximately 40,000 analog BT observations were added to the archives; about 75,000 BT digital observations were included in the NODC repository; Approximately 30,000 oceanographic stations were added during FY-65, thus increasing the NODC data bank to about 300,000 stations; More than 5,500 stations were reprocessed during FY-65 to include data refinements and corrections; This was the first year in which drift bottle data were produced in volume; about 40,000 observations were included in the archive data bank. In the geological data area, information on about 3,000 core, grab, or dredge samples was coded as the initial contribution to this data file. Approximately 5,000 biological data reports were acquired, cataloged, identified, and stored in NODC. (Author)
