SOLID STATE IMAGE INTENSIFIERS.

Abstract

Reproducibility tests were continued for the preparation of PC layers and complete image intensifier panels. Experiments were made for finding less critical processing of PC layers. Equipment for studying the trapping characteristics of the PC material was built. Field stimulated currents were recorded and trap depth and trap density calculated. However the results have to be critically examined, because several kinds of conduction mechanisms are possible in the PC layer under high electric fields. Thermally stimulated currents, free of the high field effects, will also be analyzed. (Author)
