The project's particular concern is with the influence of the work group and the task situation on individual performance and adjustment. The project aims to develop principles and methods which will enable the military services to prevent and alleviate maladjustment by capitalizing on existing interpersonal relations in groups or by structuring the group and the task situation so as to promote these adjustive interpersonal relations.
