BARGAINING AND NEGOTIATION BEHAVIOR.

Abstract

Research employing on-line computer experiments in bargaining and negotiation processes was conducted to evaluate the effects of: (a) cooperative bargaining strategies, (b) variations in threat availability and use, and (c) variations in bargainers' personality characteristics and attitudes. This report reviews the progress of research activities conducted with six experimental games, of associated programming developments, and of plans to extend the computer-based laboratory approach to more complex gaming.
