BOUNDARY EQUILIBRIUM OF CYLINDRICAL REINFORCED SHELLS WITH THIN SHEATH,

Abstract

A calculation model is discussed in which the thin sheath of a cylindrical reinforced shell is under the action of the stress of a thin membrane and the stress variation with the height of reinforcement is considered. Boundary conditions are found for a cylindrical shell under symmetrical deformation. The application of the boundary conditions obtained on maximum load is explained in a computation example of a singly supported cylindrical shell under the condition of uniformly distributed lateral and peripheral stress.
